The Naturopathic Medicine Institute’s Nutrition for Kids program also serves as a teaching platform for educators working in group settings and is an ongoing, accurate and reliable source of nutrition information and lifestyle support for the community. Training Doctors in Healthcare, NOT Sickcare
Instead of teaching that pills and surgeries that suppress symptoms are the premier method for healing, the Naturopathic Medicine Institute instead offers courses to naturopathic medical students and post-graduate medical programs focusing on how to use the elements from Nature to heal.Correctly using the clinical application of herbs, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, nutrition, detoxification and more are equally part of a well-trained physician’s repertoire of natural healing modalities. While the naturopathic medical schools provide a good basic four-year education in naturopathic medicine, the profession has limited opportunities for internships and residencies. Many graduates of these schools would benefit enormously from the mentoring and development of their skills. The Naturopathic Medicine Institute seeks to train residents on how to successfully use these modalities.
